Long Night of Science 2025
On October 25, the twelfth Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften took place in the Erlangen-Nuremberg-Fürth metropolitan region from 5 p.m. to midnight. Thousands of visitors took part, and the LMS was involved as well with two demonstrations. At the LMS booth, visitors could use VR glasses to virtually take a seat in a string quartet and participate in the musical performance acoustically and visually. A second demonstration showed how a fleet of robots can determine their respective locations and detect whether individual modules are malfunctioning. Both demonstrations were very well attended and attracted many interested visitors late into the night.
