Audio and Acoustic Signal Processing

In the field of audio signal processing, algorithms for recording, improving, analyzing, interpreting and (re) producing audio and speech signals are theoretically developed and experimentally verified. Various challenges such as the analysis of acoustic scenes or natural barrier-free human / machine interfaces, such as for telecommunications or immersive multimedia environments, as well as intelligent binaural hearing aids form the background for the research of sophisticated, forward-looking methods. As an essential feature in many projects, the use of the spatial dimension through multi-channel signal processing plays a crucial role.
