This year’s LMS excursion on July 18, 2026, took us to Nuremberg, where we visited the historic “Felsengänge” near the Kaiserburg. In a guided tour, we learnt a lot about the eventful history of these tunnels which have served, among others, as water tunnels, beer cellars, and air-raid shelters during World War II. Afterward, we had lunch in a beer garden. Some participants also took the opportunity to enjoy a lovely bike ride from the LMS to Nuremberg and back.
