Joint Research Incubator Awards on the SVCP 2022

We are happy to announce that two publications co-authored by LMS researchers won the “Joint Research Incubator Award” on the SVCP 2022! One award goes to our colleague Kristian Fischer and the two researchers Markus Hofbauer and Christopher Kuhn from the Technische Universität München (TUM), who wrote a joint paper entitled “Evaluation of Video Coding for Machines Without Ground Truth“. The second award goes to Adam Wieckowsi from the Fraunhofer Heinrich-Hertz-Institut (HHI) in Berlin and to our colleagues Matthias Kränzler, Geetha Ramasubbu, and Christian Herglotz. The publication’s title is “Optimized Decoding-Energy-Aware Encoding In Practical VVC Implementations“.
