More Open Source at the LMS: To globally provide our open-source software, we operate our own Gitlab-server, where a large part of our software products are publicly available. In this month’s news, we would like to draw your attention to PADIS, “Probabilistic Approach to Dynamic Image Sampling”, which dynamically adapts the sampling method to the content of an image. Also, we would like to highlight our analysis software for various video codecs, which determines helpful statistics on the use of certain coding tools of coded videos. We provide implementations for H.264/AVC, HEVC, and the latest video codec VVC.
